Project requirements
TIAM was engaged by ProjX to assist with the installation of the Manganese Processing Plant located in Kumarina, Western Australia. The project location is located approximately 130km South of Newman and 1050km North of Perth in Western Australia. The site is accessed by the Great Northern Highway which runs between the nearest major towns of Meekathara and Newman.
Scope of Work
Installation and construction of the structural, mechanical and piping components of the processing facility for the Project.
Duration
The project commenced on the 4th January 2021 and was completed on the 6th April 2021.
Key Features
Key features of the project are summarised as follows:
- Various crushing, screening, and sorting equipment (some of which will be stand-alone mobile equipment, and some fixed plant);
- Various transfer and stacking conveyors;
- Equipment support and access structures;
- Product stockpiles;
- Bore fields;
- Ponds and tailing facilities;
- Power generation equipment;
- Various tanks, pumps, pipework, valving and related infrastructure;
- Various electrical infrastructure;
- Compressed air system;
- Admin and office facilities;
- Workshop and storage/laydown facilities; and
- Access roads
Key deliverables
The key deliverable was to successfully install the Manganese Processing Plant for our client, Element 25.
Project outcomes
This project was completed within the required timeframes that were provided to TIAM by the client. Financially, the project was within the allocated budget.
